Before the first use, and after each subsequent use, wash all the parts of the pump/baby bottle separately using lukewarm water and mild detergent, rinse them well. Then sterilize all the parts of the baby bottle in boiling water during 5 minutes.
Sterilize all the components of the breast milk pump as follows: in a pan without a lid heat water until it boils; turn off the burners; then immerse all the pieces for NO LONGER THAN 5 MINUTES; remove the parts from water and let them rest for 10 minutes; later assemble for use (do not sterilize in microwave oven).

Place the top handle´s axis to the piston´s guides, and the bottom handle´s axis to body´s pump.
Place both ends of the tensor, to piston and body´s pump.
Introduce the valve into the body´s pump, make sure that the membrane is properly placed.
Screw the bottle to the assambled body´s pump.
When re-assemble the pump, ensure that all parts be properly placed
Attention to place the valve:
Insert it into the pump by pressing until it stops, and ensure it has the membrane well-adhered, otherwise the pump WONT works.
– Make sure that the pump has been correctly assembled before use.
– Wash your hands thoroughly and make sure your breasts are clean. To ensure that your milk ducts are not blocked, squeeze gently on your nipples to see if any milk appears.
– Place the cup on the breast with the nipple in the middle making sure that no air can escape; otherwise there will be no suction, (use water to moisten a circular area around your nipple to better adapt it to the pump, a better vacuum can thus be formed around the cup, facilitating the milk extraction).
– Compress and uncompress the handle, (help start secretion by pressing the breast when release the handle).
Keep the bottle upright so that the milk can flow downwards inside the bottle. Pump until the milk flow in one breast is reduced, then place the breast cup on the other breast and resume pumping. If you feel pain in the breast, start by using the pump slowly and in more of a rhythm, pressing the bulb only half of the way each time. Try to keep to a 2-3 second pumping rhythm. If this continues please consult your doctor.
– Once the extraction is done, remove the pump’s body from the bottle.
– If you wish to feed the baby immediately, attach the nipple and the bottle screw cap to the bottle.
– If you do not wish to feed the baby immediately, put the disc inside the bottle screw cap, then screw it to the bottle and cover with the hood. Maternal milk must be refrigerated and can be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours, (Do not keep breast milk in your fridge door: the temperature of this place varies too much). Discuss how to keep, freeze, unfreeze and heat the breast milk with your doctor. Attention: Once frozen and thawed, maternal milk cannot be re-frozen.
